ORLANDO, FLORIDA. February 25th, 2020. International Cyber-Security Firm GLESEC announces plans to launch a Cyber Security Simulation Training Facility to be co-located with its offices in Orlando, Florida. GLESEC announces it will provide group cybersecurity courses and programs to organizations in the form of a combination of classroom and cyber-range labs (Security Operation Centers or SOCs). These are realistic training exercises in the simulated environment and with simulated attacks created to build up the skills of defensive (SOC) teams and offensive Red teams. The courses will address cyber-security of enterprise, industrial and IoT environments. Industry organizations predict many job openings for personnel with skills to address cybersecurity attacks in enterprises and organizations worldwide. Yet, this is not something that can be learned in production environments such as a nuclear power plant or any real business environment. The training has to be realistic, controlled and repeatable. This is where the Cyber Range comes in to play. Cyber-Range is analog to a shooting range and provides professional security personnel with the opportunity to safely test and learn how to better protect their networks against cyber-attacks. GLESEC’s plans include a curriculum supported by the most advanced Cyber-Range engine, a combination of theory and practice in a custom environment.
Our cyber range simulator is the analog of a real operations center that gives trainees a place to try things securely and safely,
says Sergio Heker, a cybersecurity expert and internet pioneer who is GLESEC’s CEO.
GLESEC has operational experience in cyber security and cyber compliance through its network of secured operation centers. The introduction of a cyber-range platform and training highly complements the wide portfolio of managed security services and leverages the expertise of the GLESEC personnel into a training environment.
